Dance With Me Naked
When I call, could you find me?
In another time or place, would you know me?
Must I forever wander the ancient streets alone?
Must I forever search the stranger’s face for home?
Upon the forest floor I will make my bed.
Beneath a canopy of dreams I will watch
the wheel of stars in the night sky
and find no warmth in their cold fires.
In winter dreams I will call to you,
from the brightest star in the cold northern sky.
With blades of desire I will trace your name
upon the frozen lake of loneliness.
In summer dreams I will await you
in a woodland temple of birch and pines.
With songbird choirs and the incense of earth
I will dance naked in the rain.
In that ancient bower where nobody goes,
could you find me, ease my pain,
heal the wounds with your sweet presence,
dance with me naked in the rain?
