Night Wish
Give me just a little time
to mend my crooked ways,
to straighten out my days and
learn again how to sleep at night
... and dream.
And I do not ask for the dream of a child,
just for one that's not so wild
that it chills my soul with icy fire
or strings me out on endless wires
... all crossed and humming darkness.
