Surviving the 1970sAlong the road I managed to earn a university degree in psychology, raise a family of four and stay married to the same person for over thirty years. I have been writing for as long as I can remember, deciding to pursue it seriously about eight years ago.
For the past eight years I have been working for Register.com,
an internet based company headquartered in New York City. I work with the website design department. My specialties are writing copy and search engine optimization. Currently, I head up the Search Engine Optimization team and the Search Engine Marketing team.
This is a personal website, an adventurous project, created as a means of sharing personal anecdotes, a bit of nostalgia, and a sampling of my writing with family, friends and anyone who cares to stop by for awhile. Among the literary pages, you will find poetry, short stories, essays and rants, as well as samples of my novels. Some of the work goes back to the early 1970s, some of it is very recent, including works in progress.
Before we get too serious and just for fun, check out the first international hockey game between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada and
Massachusetts, USA. It was an exciting time, for sure, especially since most of us were
about 12 years old. Yarmouth, NS vs Stoneham, MA, 1967. Yes, I have to admit that, once upon a time, before Noah built the Ark, I was a jock.
What else was there to do, growing up in a small Canadian town in the '50's & early '60's?
We were still waiting the Beatles and drugs in those days!
